TMNG And inCode Announce Official Opening of the First Independent Wireless Technology Lab
La Jolla, CA April 10, 2002-- The Management Network Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: TMNG), a leading provider of management consulting services to the global communications industry, and inCode Telecom Group, Inc., a leading wireless technology consulting services firm, proudly announce the official opening of the first independent next-generation end-to-end wireless development and testing laboratory.
The lab, which has been beta testing a number of mission critical interoperability solutions in an open-architecture environment since its formation last Fall, will hold its opening ceremony on April 12th. The lab will officially welcome members and sponsors who together represent a whos who of wireless communications hardware and software providers. Among those in attendance will also be the labs senior advisory council, which is comprised of C-level executives from many of the worlds leading wireless communications service providers.
Billed as the first independent facility to provide a real-world testing ground for the industrys next generation wireless technologies and applications, the lab was created to help wireless carriers and technology providers solve complex network integration, support and interoperability issues before committing significant capital to new ventures. Network technology vendors, front office and back office software providers, and wireless service providers can come together, in a vendor- and technology-neutral environment, to test and evaluate network element integration, new services and applications such as SMS, MMS, 3G/IP-based services, E911, location based services, telematics, 802.11 wireless LAN, prepaid solutions and BSS/OSS applications.
Included in the opening ceremony activities will be two panel discussions, led by senior management from both companies, which are open to the media and general public. The topics of the two panel discussions will be:
1. Wireless Data Is This the Year (Finally)?
2. Intercarrier SMS Truth or Fiction
There will also be an open house at the lab, in which visitors can participate in a facilities tour, attend demonstrations and meet with management from both TMNG and inCode.
